Who are you, and why are you doing this?
We’re Kieran and Skye Burke - parents, creatives, and advocates for rare disease awareness. Art Helps Heaps started as a way to combine our love of creativity with our desire to give back. Our son Jack was born with multiple rare genetic disorders, and along the way, we experienced the extraordinary support of researchers, medical professionals, and charities. Art Helps Heaps is our way of saying thank you - and ensuring these organisations can continue their vital work.

How do you know all these artists?
Through community, creativity, and a bit of courage. Some we’ve worked with on past projects, others were introduced through friends, and many we contacted directly. Time and again, creatives from around the world step forward to support this cause.

What does “100% of net profits donated” mean?
After essential costs are covered - printing, production, artist fees, shipping, website, software, and taxes - every remaining dollar is donated to charity. We operate efficiently and transparently to direct the maximum funds to the organisations we support.

How much have you raised and donated so far?
As of January 2026, we’ve raised and donated over $82,000AUD to organisations supporting individuals and families affected by rare diseases. Every project builds on the last, and every purchase helps grow this impact.

Which charities do you support?
Each project partners with a nominated not-for-profit organisation focused on rare diseases. Past recipients include Children's Medical Research Institute (Jeans for Genes), Creativity Explored, Genetic Alliance, Rare Voices Australia, and Through The Unexpected.

How can I support Art Helps Heaps?
Purchase artwork or products, share our projects, follow us on social media, introduce us to artists, or raise awareness about rare diseases. Every action amplifies impact.

Do artists get paid for their work?
Artists generously donate their work or collaborate under agreed terms. Any artist fees are included in project costs before net profits are calculated and donated.

Can artists collaborate with Art Helps Heaps?
Absolutely. If you’re an artist who believes in the power of creativity to make a difference, contact us at hi@arthelpsheaps.com with a brief introduction and examples of your work.
